Getting to Know Me
From learning to read as a child to opening a just released book today, I'm a lifelong lover of the written word. My experiences as a journalist, library worker, book blogger, and business student give me a unique combination of skills and talents to succeed. My ability to develop fulfilling professional and personal relationships with people of varying backgrounds makes me an asset to your organization. Background & Expertise

ACADEMIC LIBRARY CIRCULATION MANAGER, WILLIAM WOODS UNIVERSITY
August 2016 - Present
Engage students, faculty, and staff while managing the Circulation Desk of Dulany Library. Coordinate library outreach efforts, including social media management. Create displays and signage to promote library collection. Design and give presentations as part of the university’s LEAD program. Supervise student workers. Provide customer service for all patron needs, including basic technical assistance in computer labs.

NEWS PRODUCER, WWBT NBC12, RICHMOND, VA
May 2004 - March 2010
Responsible for a daily, evening newscast at the #1 station in the market. Evaluated and edited reporters’ scripts for content, grammar, and style. Coordinated broadcast logistics with production staff. Developed strategies to steer viewers to the station’s website and created opportunities for viewer interaction and engagement. Managed NBC12’s presidential and local election coverage. Produced special project programming including severe weather specials.

NEWS PRODUCER, WLTX NEWS19, COLUMBIA, SC
May 2001 - April 2004
Produced daily newscasts, earning promotions from the News at Noon to the 11pm newscast, then to the 6pm newscast. Partnered with reporters, photographers, and production staff to bring stories about real people and the community to the Midlands of South Carolina.
