ACADEMIC LIBRARY CIRCULATION & ENGAGEMENT, WILLIAM WOODS UNIVERSITY

August 2016 - Present

Engage students, faculty, and staff while managing day-to-day operations and projects at Dulany Library. Coordinate library marketing efforts, including social media management, campus communications, and on-site displays to promote library collection, services and events. Design and give presentations as part of the university’s LEAD program. Supervise and train a team of student workers. Collaborate with other departments. Provide customer service for all patron needs, including basic research help, information literacy, and technical assistance.

NEWS PRODUCER, WWBT NBC12, RICHMOND, VA

May 2004 - March 2010

Responsible for all aspects of a daily, evening newscast at the #1 station in the market. Created engaging, accurate content and edited reporters’ scripts for substance, grammar, and style. Coordinated broadcast logistics, leading teams from multiple departments. Developed strategies for viewer growth and created opportunities for viewer interaction and engagement. Managed NBC12’s presidential and local election coverage. Produced special project programming including severe weather specials and community events.

NEWS PRODUCER, WLTX NEWS19, COLUMBIA, SC

May 2001 - April 2004

Produced daily newscasts, earning promotions from the News at Noon to the 11pm newscast, then to the 6pm newscast within 18 months. Partnered with reporters, photographers, and production staff to bring stories about real people and the community to the Midlands of South Carolina.
